Set up :
A fitting is mandatory for a proper fit and a good understanding of the installation. The initial fitting will be carried out by a healthcare professional and subsequently by the user or someone close to them according to the same protocol.
The device can be worn over or under pants.
1. Opening the splint: Unfasten the straps, including the pre-positioning strap inside the device, and fold the hook-and-loop part over the straps.
2. Adaptation of the stays: The product is supplied with 0° lateral and dorsal stays. Two lateral stays with 20° flexion are provided with the device and, following the prescription of the healthcare professional, can be used in place of the 0° lateral stays. If necessary, refer to the illustrative drawings for the replacement of the 0° lateral stays with the 20° ones. During the fitting, the applicator will have to conform the dorsal stays of the orthosis to 20° to adapt it to your morphology.
3. Attaching the straps: Attach the pre-positioning strap slightly above the kneecap. Tighten to obtain a firm but comfortable fit. Attach and tighten without compressing the two straps closest to the kneecap (upper then lower) then the two straps further from the kneecap (lower then upper). Tighten the straps to obtain a firm but comfortable fit.
Maintenance and conservation:
• Keep the orthosis away from excessive heat sources.
• Hand wash in warm soapy water (maximum 40°C); rinse thoroughly; wring gently; do not bleach; dry flat, do not tumble dry; do not iron; do not dry clean.
• Dispose of the device and its packaging in accordance with local or national environmental regulations.
