The splints are made of aluminum to maintain the necessary rigidity with a foam side to preserve patient comfort.
Using the Doctor ISELIN splint:
After choosing the appropriate width for the affected limb, simply cut the splint to the correct length using scissors. The splint is placed in a "sandwich" shape with the foam side on the skin and fixed using adhesive tape.
First make sure the splint is clean and dry and has no sharp edges.
