Set up :
A fitting is mandatory for a proper fit and a good understanding of the installation. The initial fitting will be carried out by a healthcare professional and subsequently by the user or someone close to them according to the same protocol.
A. Putting on the walking boot:
1. Unfasten the hook-and-loop straps and the hook-and-loop fasteners located on the top of the liner. Pull the liner out through the front of the boot. Do not release the straps.
2. Place the foot in the liner and wrap the foot and lower leg well.
3. Slide the foot inside the walking boot, making sure to place the heel at the bottom of the boot and making sure the foot rests completely flat in the boot.
4. Close the hook-and-loop fasteners from the bottom up. Start at the foot and work your way up the leg. Adjust the tightening to achieve a firm but comfortable fit.
B. Installing the pads:
1. To account for friction or spacing, additional foam pads may be placed inside the boot.
2. Attach the pads using the small hook-and-loop fasteners on the side of the leg, between the textile part and the leg at the plastic side posts.
Maintenance and conservation:
• Remove any straps, pads, or liners and close all hook-and-loop closures before washing. Hand wash liners with mild detergent in cold water and hang to dry only. Do not dry clean, bleach, or iron.
• Dispose of the device and its packaging in accordance with local or national environmental regulations.
