Description and use
Our Lombogib® Easy belt supports your back by adapting to your body shape and activity. It relieves lower back pain and ensures proper posture for patients with hyperalgesia or those requiring easier tension.
• Easy to install thanks to easy tightening.
• Adjustable belt: removable bib as needed.
• Lumbosacral reinforcement resting on the iliac crests.
For lower back conditions that may benefit from restriction of movement, including the following:
• Lower back muscle pain (lumbago)
• Sciatica
• Lumbosacral lesions
• Chronic lower back pain
Precautions for use:
• The device should not be used in individuals for whom compression is contraindicated.
• Patients with pelvic floor weakness should consult their doctor before using the orthosis.
• The orthosis must not be placed in direct contact with damaged skin.
• Do not wear for prolonged periods without medical supervision.
• This orthosis is a device for single-patient use. Do not reuse on multiple patients.
• If any problem occurs while using this orthosis, remove the device and contact your doctor.
• If any serious incident occurs in connection with the device, the healthcare professional and/or the patient must report it to the manufacturer and the competent authority in the country concerned. Weaning should be gradual, possibly with the association of functional rehabilitation.
Set up :
A fitting is mandatory for adaptation and a good understanding of the fitting. The first fitting will be carried out by a healthcare professional and later by a person close to the patient according to the same protocol.
During the fitting, the fitter will have to shape the V-shaped boning of the orthosis to adapt it to your body shape.
Before application: (AA) open the belt, lay it flat and separate the two back parts of the belt.
Installing/removing cushions:
• Two cushions are pre-positioned on the back of the belt to adjust comfort.
• (2B) Depending on the patient's needs, the cushions can be removed or positioned on the internal dorsal surface.
Installing the belt:
• (2C) Take the belt so that the Gibaud logo is on the right.
• (2C) Position the two dorsal parts on either side of the spine.
• (2C) Position the bottom of the belt on the top of the inter-gluteal cleft.
• (2D) Close the belt with slight tension.
Belt tensioning:
• (2E) Position the fingers in the finger loop.
• (2E) Detach the pull tabs from the hook-and-loop areas.
• (2E) Pull both cords forward simultaneously to obtain a firm but comfortable tightening.
• (2F) Hook the pull tabs onto the hook-and-loop areas on the front of the belt.
The tightness of the belt can be adjusted according to pain and activity.
Removing the belt:
• Unhook the pull tabs and reposition them in their initial locations.
• Open and remove the belt.
Maintenance and conservation:
• Keep away from excessive heat sources (radiator, tumble dryer, etc.). Gentle hand wash at 30°C or machine wash on a delicate cycle; rinse thoroughly; spin gently; do not bleach; dry flat, do not tumble dry; do not iron; do not dry clean.
• Dispose of the device and its packaging in accordance with local or national environmental regulations.
