Description and use
Equipped with its strap, the Malléogib® 3D Strap ankle brace protects and relieves you on a daily basis and restores your sensations.
It is indicated in the event of resuming activity after an ankle injury (non-edematous) and also in the rehabilitation phase, or as a preventative measure for your sporting activities or your work.

For ankle conditions that may benefit from compression and limitation of inversion movement, including the following:
• Mild to moderate sprain (non-edematous)
• Rehabilitation phase after ankle trauma
• Functional instability
Precautions for use:
• The device should not be used in people for whom compression is contraindicated.
• To adjust the band, tighten it until you get a firm but comfortable fit.
• The device should not be used if the injury requires partial or total immobilization or surgery.
• Do not wear the device for prolonged periods without medical supervision.
• The orthosis must not be placed in direct contact with a skin lesion.
• If any problem occurs while using this orthosis, for example pain or the appearance of local symptoms, remove the orthosis and contact your doctor.
• This orthosis is a device for single-patient use. Do not reuse on multiple patients.
• The product contains natural rubber latex in the straps, which could cause allergic reactions.
• If any serious incident occurs in connection with the device, the user and/or patient must report it to the manufacturer and to the competent authority in the country concerned.
Set up :
• In addition to taking measurements, a fitting is necessary for correct adaptation and a good understanding of the installation.
The orthosis can be applied to the right or left ankle.
• The ankle brace is put on like a sock. The Gibaud logo should be located on the upper part of the ankle.
• Attach the self-gripping rectangle to the truncated corners with the foot pictograms printed on the black rectangular velvet located on the back of the foot. For correct strapping, the foot pictogram printed on the strap must correspond to the foot to be treated (right foot pictogram on the right foot or vice versa).
• Stretch the strap in the same direction as indicated by the arrow on the footprint printed on the strap.
• Pass the strap under the foot, stretching it evenly to exert a dynamic external recall.
• Iron the strap over the top of the foot, positioning the black velvet circle on the starting rectangle.
• Then pass the two parts of the strap on either side of the heel. The upper part of the strap covers the malleolar pads and the lower part covers the arch of the foot in front of the heel.
• Attach the round self-gripping part of the strap to the corresponding round black velvet.
• If necessary, adjust the tension of the strap, making sure to stay within the grip area of the round black velvet.
Maintenance and conservation:
• Hand wash in warm, soapy water (maximum 40°C). Rinse thoroughly. Wring gently. Do not use bleach.
• Dry flat; do not tumble dry. Do not iron. Do not dry clean.
• Dispose of the device and its packaging in accordance with local or national environmental regulations.
