Description and use
In the event of a minor sprain or strain, our Gibaud® Ankle Brace protects the movement of your ankle by restoring your sensations thanks to its proprioceptive effect*. It supports you during your daily activities (sport, work, leisure, etc.).
The compressive 3D textile restores your sensations through proprioception.

For ankle conditions that may benefit from compression, including:
• Rehabilitation phase after ankle trauma.
• Minor strains and sprains.
• Functional instability.
Precautions for use:
• The device should not be used in individuals for whom compression is contraindicated.
• The device contains natural rubber latex which may cause allergic reactions.
• The device should not be used if the injury requires partial or total immobilization or surgery.
• Do not wear for prolonged periods without medical supervision.
• The orthosis should not be placed in direct contact with any skin lesion. If any problems occur while using this orthosis, for example pain or the appearance of local symptoms, remove the orthosis and contact your doctor.
• This orthosis is a device for single-patient use. Do not reuse on multiple patients.
• If any serious incident occurs in connection with the device, the user and/or patient must report it to the manufacturer and to the competent authority in the country concerned.
Set up :
• A fitting is mandatory for a correct adaptation and a good understanding of the installation. The first installation will be carried out by a healthcare professional and subsequently by the patient or a person close to them according to the same protocol.
• The orthosis can be applied to the right or left ankle.
• The ankle brace is put on like a sock. The Gibaud logo should be located on the upper part of the ankle.
• Position the lower edge (without logo) under the arch of the foot.
Maintenance and conservation:
• Hand wash in warm soapy water (maximum 40°C); rinse thoroughly; wring gently; do not bleach; dry flat, do not tumble dry; do not iron; do not dry clean. Dispose of the device and its packaging in accordance with local or national environmental regulations.
