Description and use
In cases of epicondylitis, swelling and pain, our Gibaud Elbow Brace protects the movement of your elbow by restoring your sensations thanks to its proprioceptive effect*. It supports you during your daily activities (sport, work, leisure, etc.).
This compressive 3D textile restores your sensations through proprioception.
Soft and breathable, this "second skin" care textile protects your elbow while allowing the skin to breathe.
For elbow conditions that may benefit from compression, including the following:
• Medial and lateral epicondylitis.
• Pain and swelling in the elbow.
• Elbow instabilities
Precautions for use:
• The device should not be used in individuals for whom compression is contraindicated.
• The device contains natural rubber latex which may cause allergic reactions.
• The device should not be used in cases where the injury requires relative or absolute immobilization or surgical intervention.
• Do not wear for prolonged periods without medical supervision.
• The orthosis must not be placed in direct contact with damaged skin.
• This orthosis is a device for single-patient use. Do not reuse on multiple patients.
• If any problem occurs while using this orthosis, for example pain or the appearance of local signs, remove the device and contact your healthcare professional.
• If any serious incident occurs, related to the device, the healthcare professional and/or the patient must report it to the manufacturer and to the competent authority in the country concerned.
Set up :
A fitting is mandatory for a correct adaptation and a good understanding of the installation.
The first installation will be carried out by a healthcare professional and subsequently by the user or someone close to them according to the same protocol.
The fitting is done by putting on the elbow pad by hand.
Once in place, the logo should be on the side near the hand on the forearm (not the side near the shoulder). |
The openwork knitting area should be in the crease of the elbow.
Maintenance and conservation:
• Keep the orthosis away from excessive heat sources.
• Hand wash in warm soapy water (maximum 40°C); rinse thoroughly; wring gently; do not bleach; dry flat, do not tumble dry; do not iron; do not dry clean.
• Dispose of the device and its packaging in accordance with local or national environmental regulations.
