Description and use
The Genugib® Patella knee brace helps recenter the kneecap after a dislocation or subluxation.

This lightweight knee brace supports you during your rehabilitation and return to activity by supporting your kneecap laterally.

For knee conditions that may benefit from patella realignment and/or in patients who may benefit from additional lateral patella support, including:
• Subluxation or lateral dislocation of the patella
• Lateral deviation

Precautions for use:
• This product has been designed and tested for use on a single patient. Do not use on multiple patients.
• If you experience any problems while using the product, contact your healthcare professional immediately.

Set up :
1. Hold the brace by the joint pockets and slip it over the knee.
2. Check that the ball joint is in the middle of the opening.
3. Using your fingers, hold the brace against the side of the kneecap. Pull the lower strap behind the knee to tighten it first. Then, fasten the lower strap as indicated by the dots. CAUTION: Do not overtighten. If the straps are too tight, they can cut off blood flow.
4. Repeat for the top strap.
5. The brace is now in position and pushing firmly against the side of the kneecap.

Maintenance and conservation:
• It is possible to wash the orthosis without removing its components.
• Wash at 30°C maximum on a delicate cycle with a mild detergent. Leave to dry. Do not tumble dry.
• NOTE: Be careful to secure the ends of the strap are not secured, they can damage the material of the orthosis.
