For knee conditions that may benefit from stability reinforcement around the knee, including:
• Mild to moderate sprains and instabilities of the anterior or posterior cruciate ligament, medial and lateral collateral ligaments
Precautions for use:
• The orthosis should not be used in cases where the pathology requires relative or absolute immobilization by plaster, resin or surgical intervention.
When adjusting the straps, adjust to achieve a firm but comfortable fit.
• Do not wear for prolonged periods without medical supervision.
• The orthosis must not be placed in direct contact with damaged skin.
• This orthosis is a device for single-patient use. Do not reuse on multiple patients.
• If any problem arises while using this orthosis, for example in case of pain or the appearance of local signs, remove the device and contact your healthcare professional.
• If any serious incident occurs, related to the device, the healthcare professional and/or the patient must report it to the manufacturer and to the competent authority in the country concerned.
Set up :
A fitting is mandatory for a proper fit and a good understanding of the installation. The initial fitting will be carried out by a healthcare professional and subsequently by the user or someone close to them according to the same protocol.
1. For joint adjustment: This must be done by a healthcare professional before fitting the orthosis. Slide the joint cover downwards and remove it. Place the red angulation pins (extension and flexion) according to the range or blocking recommended by the prescriber. See example of adjustment with the red pins. Close the cover by sliding it upwards.
2. To put on the orthosis: Open the orthosis completely at the front. Place the two gray patellar hemi-rings on either side of the kneecap. Close the bottom and then the top using the hook-and-loop system. Place the silicone pad below the kneecap on the tibial ridge by closing the straps. Tighten the straps to obtain a firm but comfortable fit.
Maintenance and conservation:
• Keep the orthosis away from excessive heat sources.
• Hand wash in warm soapy water (maximum 40°C); rinse thoroughly; wring gently; do not bleach; dry flat, do not tumble dry; do not iron; do not dry clean.
• Dispose of the device and its packaging in accordance with local or national environmental regulations.
