Description and use
The Manugib® Carpal Tunnel orthosis is indicated for carpal tunnel syndrome, it relieves your pain day and night.
• Wrist/hand angulation, reference position in straightness with possible adjustments between +20° and -20°.
• Removable and adaptable digital palette.
• Anti-slip cushions.
• Complete opening at the level of the carpal tunnel (no dorso-palmar pressure zone).

Precautions for use:
• The orthosis should not be used in cases where the pathology requires relative or absolute immobilization or surgical intervention.
• When adjusting the strap, adjust to obtain a firm but comfortable fit.
• Do not wear for prolonged periods without medical supervision.
• The orthosis should not be placed in direct contact with damaged skin. This orthosis is a device for single-patient use. Do not reuse on multiple patients.
• If any problem occurs while using this orthosis, for example pain or the appearance of local signs, remove the device and contact your healthcare professional.
• If any serious incident occurs, related to the device, the healthcare professional and/or the patient must report it to the manufacturer and to the competent authority in the country concerned.
Set up :
A fitting is mandatory for a proper fit and a good understanding of the installation. The first fitting will be carried out by a healthcare professional and subsequently by the user or someone close to them according to the same protocol.
1. Fully open the strap under the forearm.
2. Loosen the other two top straps.
3. Put the fingers without the thumb into the orthosis from underneath like a glove (a).
4. Ensure that the area between the thumb and index finger rests against the lower edge of the orthosis (b).
5. A slight tension of the straps is sufficient to ensure the effectiveness of the orthosis
6. Adjust the angle of the joint according to your doctor's advice. If necessary, you can vary this angle according to your comfort level.
NOTE: The metal bar that allows finger extension is conformable. This bar is also removable; remove by unscrewing according to the advice of the healthcare professional (c).
Maintenance and conservation:
• Keep the orthosis away from excessive heat sources.
• Hand wash in warm soapy water (maximum 40°C); rinse thoroughly; wring gently; do not bleach; dry flat, do not tumble dry; do not iron; do not dry clean.
• Dispose of the device and its packaging in accordance with local or national environmental regulations.
