Description and use
The Manugib® Trauma Wrist Orthosis restricts your wrist movements, leaving a full degree of freedom for your fingers.

For conditions that may benefit from wrist movement restriction, including:
• Wrist strains and sprains.
• Carpal tunnel syndrome.
• Tendonitis.
• Arthritis.
• Weaning after plaster cast.
• Bursitis.
• Other soft tissue injuries.

Precautions for use:
• Patients should inspect their hand, wrist and the product before and after each use.
• The orthosis must not be placed in direct contact with damaged skin.
• This product has been designed and tested based on single patient use and is not recommended for multiple patient use.
• If any problem occurs while using this orthosis, remove the device and contact your doctor.
• If any serious incident occurs in connection with the device, the healthcare professional and/or the patient must report it to the manufacturer and the competent authority in the country concerned. Weaning should be gradual, possibly with the association of functional rehabilitation.

Set up :
A fitting is mandatory for a proper fit and a good understanding of the installation. The first fitting will be carried out by a healthcare professional and subsequently by the user or someone close to them according to the same protocol.

During the first application, conform the palmar splint to adapt it to the patient's morphology and use.

1. Put the orthosis on your hand like a glove.
2. The palmar splint should be centered in the palm of the hand.
3. Adjust the straps to obtain a firm but comfortable fit.

Maintenance and conservation:
• Hand wash in warm soapy water (maximum 40°C); rinse thoroughly; wring gently; do not bleach; dry flat, do not tumble dry; do not iron; do not dry clean.
• Dispose of the device and its packaging in accordance with local or national environmental regulations.
