• When adjusting the strap, adjust to achieve a firm but comfortable fit. Do not wear for prolonged periods without medical supervision.
• The orthosis should not be placed in direct contact with damaged skin. This orthosis is a device for single-patient use. Do not reuse on multiple patients.
• If any problem occurs while using this orthosis, for example pain or the appearance of local signs, remove the device and contact your healthcare professional.
• If any serious incident occurs, related to the device, the healthcare professional and/or the patient must report it to the manufacturer and to the competent authority in the country concerned.
Set up :
A fitting is mandatory for a proper fit and a good understanding of the installation. The first fitting will be carried out by a healthcare professional and subsequently by the user or someone close to them according to the same protocol.
During the fitting, the applicator will have to conform, if necessary, the splints of the orthosis to adapt them to your morphology.
1. Assess the deformation when closing the first commissure (thumb-index).
2. Depending on the deformation, adjust the opening of the commissure rider (aluminum cradle) to the analgesic position.
3. Open the wrist adjustment tab.
4. Put the orthosis on your hand like a glove.
5. Make sure to position the rider correctly at the bottom of the first corner (thumb-index finger).
6. Tighten the wrist adjustment tab to achieve a comfortable fit. It may be necessary to adjust the angle of the rider's main splint to avoid pressure on the trapeziometacarpal joint.
Maintenance and conservation:
• Keep the orthosis away from excessive heat sources.
• Hand wash in warm soapy water (maximum 40°C); rinse thoroughly; wring gently; do not bleach; dry flat, do not tumble dry; do not iron; do not dry clean.
• Dispose of the device and its packaging in accordance with local or national environmental regulations.
