• When adjusting the strap, tighten to obtain a firm but comfortable fit.
• The adjustment of the range of movement must be carried out, according to the medical prescription, by the healthcare professional before fitting the orthosis.
• Do not wear for prolonged periods without medical supervision.
• The orthosis must not be placed in direct contact with damaged skin.
• This orthosis is a device for single-patient use. Do not reuse on multiple patients.
• If any problem arises while using this orthosis, for example in case of pain or the appearance of local signs, remove the device and contact your
health professional.
• If any serious incident occurs, related to the device, the healthcare professional and/or the patient must report it to the manufacturer and to the competent authority in the country concerned.
Set up :
A fitting is mandatory for a proper fit and a good understanding of the installation. The initial fitting will be carried out by a healthcare professional and subsequently by the user or someone close to them according to the same protocol.
During the fitting, the applicator will have to conform, if necessary, the joints of the orthosis to adapt it to your morphology.
The range of motion must be adjusted by a healthcare professional before fitting the orthosis. The orthosis is delivered locked at 15° of flexion.
1. To adjust the joints: Unscrew the transparent cover with a coin (1, 2 or 5 cents) and place the 4 studs in the holes located opposite the angles according to the prescriber's instructions. The orthosis can be placed over trousers.
2. To put the orthosis in place:
1. Open the upper and lower parts of the orthosis
2. Put on the orthosis, with the label positioned at the top so that the joint is at knee height and the silicone pad below the kneecap on the tibial ridge, closing the lower straps. The two side cushions are removable and can be removed in case of discomfort.
3. Finalize the fit by adjusting the joints to achieve a firm, comfortable fit. The joints should be parallel and centered over the middle of the knee.
Maintenance and conservation:
• Keep the orthosis away from excessive heat sources.
• Hand wash in warm soapy water (maximum 40°C); rinse thoroughly; wring gently; do not bleach; dry flat, do not tumble dry; do not iron; do not dry clean.
• Dispose of the device and its packaging in accordance with local or national environmental regulations.
